Information we collect

We collect information in a few ways:

• Account information: name and email address when you create an account, and a securely hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Property and guide content: the information you enter into your property guides, such as Wi-Fi details, check-in instructions, house rules, and local recommendations. This content is provided by you and is shown to your guests.
• Lead / contact form information: if you submit the Get Started form, we collect what you provide (name, email, phone, business name, and message) along with basic attribution information (such as the page you came from and any campaign parameters in the link you clicked).
• Payment information: subscription payments are processed by Stripe. GuestMeadow does not directly collect or store your raw card number - Stripe handles that as our payment processor. We store limited billing metadata such as your subscription status and plan.
• Basic usage analytics: we record simple, first-party events (such as a page view or a guide being viewed) to understand how the product is used. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell this information.

How we use information

• To operate your account and display your published guest guides.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions through Stripe.
• To send account, billing, and lead-related emails (via our email provider).
• To respond to inquiries submitted through the Get Started form.
• To understand product usage and improve GuestMeadow.

Guest guide visitors

Guests viewing a published guide do not need to create an account or log in. Basic, non-identifying page-view information may be recorded to help hosts understand whether their guide is being viewed.

Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate GuestMeadow, such as our hosting provider, database provider, payment processor (Stripe), and transactional email provider - each acting on our behalf to provide the service.

Data retention

We retain account and property data for as long as your account is active, and lead information for as long as reasonably necessary to follow up and maintain business records. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.

Security

We use industry-standard practices such as password hashing, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and server-side authorization checks. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can access, update, or delete your property information from your dashboard at any time. To request deletion of your account or personal data, email contact support.

Children

GuestMeadow is intended for business use by adults operating vacation rentals and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
